If we meet by webcam, do I need to download any software?
Before setting up our first webcam session together we will agree how we will meet. I use Zoom or Whatsapp, which are safe, encrypted platforms.
If you choose Zoom, I will email you a link for you to join me online. You won’t need to download anything.
If you choose Whatsapp, you will need the app downloaded onto your phone or tablet. I will email confirmation of how we will connect.
Do I need to think of anything in particular if we are meeting online?
There are a few things to think about to ensure that you get the best from our time together.
- Ensure that you are able to use a safe, quiet and private environment for your full session.
- Turn off notifications on your mobile phone/laptop during the session.
- Ensure that any other phones/alarms are switched off or unplugged.
- Check that your video service is working and your internet connection is stable before your session
- Make sure you disconnect properly when the call is finished. If your call is online, make sure you have closed any browser windows and signed out correctly.
We will agree during our first session together what we will do if we have technical difficulties.
